For our 2022 sister trip we spent three days in Paris and one day in London before heading to Manchester to celebrate Thanksgiving with some of our friends in the UK. We had been to Paris before when we were in middle school, and while studying abroad, but this was our first “adult” trip.
Day 1:
When we landed in Paris, we immediately hit the town to avoid falling asleep. First stop was at Carette Cafe! The pastries, eggs and cappuccinos did not disappoint. This place is known for their hot chocolate but we needed some caffeine in our lives.
After walking around by the Eiffel tower for a bit, we headed back to our hotel, Canopy by Hilton Paris Trocadero. We stayed here mostly because it was free with my Hilton honors points, but I would recommend it to anyone going. it was a few blocks from the Eiffel tower, and even had views of it from the roof! The rooms were nice, and honestly who spends much time in their room on a Europe trip anyways!
Then we headed out to dinner at Lile to meet up with our friend Hadi who lives in Paris, who we met at my friends wedding in Brazil!
Day 2:
The next day we took a day trip to Reims, to do Champagne tours. I HIGHLY recommend adding this to your next trip. I will do a whole separate post on this but it was hands down one of my favorite memories of the trip!
Day 3:
Our third and final day we saw some touristy sites, and did some shopping at Polene, Sezane and Galleria Laffeyette. We also walked around by the Ritz Carlton Paris which is where Princess Diana ate her final meal before the fateful car crash.
We ended out trip watching the Eiffel Tower sparkle and then headed to the hotel rooftop with some champagne. Next stop – London via the Eurostar the next morning.
