4th of July Inspiration for a Girl on a Budget

Can you believe it’s already the 4th of July next week?? This year is seriously flying by! Do you have any fun plans? I am in a friend’s wedding on July 1st and then I’m heading back to Chicago to celebrate the 4th. Sadly I always forget to make plans and always end up doing the most random stuff. My hope this year is that it’s nice out so I can spend the whole day at the pool catching some sun. When I was younger we would always have hamburgers, baked beans (which were so good eaten with ruffle chips…), watermelon and potato salad. I’m seriously drooling as I’m writing this just thinking about it. It’s one of my favorite meals!

Finding an outfit for the 4th of July can be tough. I love wearing red, white and blue but not in an obnoxious over the top way. I found this dress at Old Navy and knew I had to have it! It runs a little large (I’m wearing an XS) so make sure to order down. If you are super tall (I’m almost 5’8) it gets a little short, but not crazy short – it really just depends on how comfortable you are with showing a little leg 🙂 I tried ordering a size up to add some length but it got really boxy. It’s the perfect blue and will not only be great for the 4th but all summer. Also – the price point is (insert thumbs up emoji) – only $35!

I have also been embracing the scarf trend lately. What are you thoughts on it? I think it adds a little something to this dress and is only $8

Whatever your plans are for the 4th of July I hope you have an amazing time and great weather! Click the images below to shop this whole look! I have one more outfit to help spark some inspiration coming up this weekend so stay tuned! You still have a week to snag something adorable!

Thanks for stopping by! I really appreciate all the love and support! You’re all amazing!!
